Hot and lovely summer seems to be over. We have been busy, so this blog has been left by it's own. Our LC/racing season ended last weekend, at Long Distance Championships "Kuninkuusjuoksu" event, so holiday is just around the corner. But let's go a bit backward in time.
Sansa, or nowadays Jade (D. Evelyn) moved to Vaasa to live with smooth Collie and whippet, and she enjoys her life there. Kevan (D. Still Counting) had packed his bags, but suddenly it was cancelled for reasond not depending on him. So, Kevan is looking for new LC/racing home. I would keep him, but I think I have already hands full... More information at dinacon.whippets(a)gmail.com.

Finnish Coursing Championships took place nearby us. Ella was 2nd after the preliminaries, but in the finals she screw up totally, zero points and last place for running like mad. Lara was 9 out of 30 standard bitches, Inna 4th, both with CAC. Well done girls! Ella and Esme participated in Breeder Race as Team Metallica, and they were placed 7th, out of 13 teams! Ella did PB time on 350m - again.
In first weekend of September, we travelled to Lithuania for NAT LC competition. My frien Liina with her sloughis came along. We had such nice road trip with full load of laugh, excitement and adventure. The event itself was quite exciting too, but all five left home with no severe injuries, and two of them followed by new LT LCCH titles! I had planned that title for Inna, but this time Lara had right lottery numbers... Ella performed a rerun of Finnish LC Championships, so no more coursing for her anymore, as she still has all four legs.
I waited Ella's heat already earlier this summer, but as it didn't show, I entered her to Long Distance Racing Championships in Helsinki. She has never done 480m before, but a nice 32,60 in preliminaries - she was left out of A-finals by only some millimeters! Even though she was 2/2 in B-finals (she runs pretty far from the rail), I'm so pleased with this result, now some rail train for her during winter...

Last but not least, some Granny Greetings. Dina has been in so good condition for the whole summer. She has had free access to go out, and she had been sniffing around the garden in her own pace. She uses the leg normally, and an outsider can't see the difference when she moves. She had control x-ray in July, and maybe we'll consider removing the metals next winter. On 21st September, it's one whole year from the operation. We certainly did it, warmest thanks to all for your support!
